Informal Academy

Baltan Laboratories presents a brand new series of monthly events for post-secondary students in Eindhoven called the Informal Academy. These evenings are focused on sharing innovative ideas at the intersection of art, design and technology.

The Informal Academy offers students a platform to share the research and projects they are working on with fellow students from related programs in Eindhoven. They have the opportunity to expand their network in an informal setting while gaining extra knowledge and feedback from like-minded participants from other schools: TU/e Industrial Design, Fontys Hogeschool ICT & Media Design, and Design Academy Eindhoven.

The first meeting took place on February 28th, 2012 at the TU/e Department of Industrial Design. The content of the evenings will be co-designed by the participants, depending on specialisation and fields of interest. It provides a bottom-up sustainable network, with motivated people who are looking to help and inspire each other.
