    Baltan Laboratories is looking for a Lab/Community Manager (0,6 – 0,8 FTE) from February onwards. (Starting date negotiable).

    Baltan Laboratories is a foundation established in 2008, with the aim to create an experimental environment with international ambitions and reputation, resonating with the innovative spirit of the early Philips Natlab and the city of Eindhoven. Since our move to the renovated Natlab in 2013, Baltan experienced a rapid growth. The lab gained a relevant position in the in-between space of technological, scientific, cultural and creative ecosystems relating to topics of societal importance. In the next couple of years, Baltan strives to expand its activities and reputation internationally.

    In its ten years of existence, Baltan has built a broad network of passionate thinkers and doers who participate in our activities or follow our progress. In order to keep our loyal supporters close, we aim to provide them with even more possibilities for networking, connecting and making use of Baltan facilities. Our spaces in Natlab play a central role in this, enabling the power of serendipity – which we also put out into the world through various online media.


    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The Lab/Community Manager activates, facilitates and grows the existing community around Baltan. You are motivated to assist with co-organizing and communicating the program of Baltan Laboratories and strengthen our community, both off- and online. The Lab/Community Manager is a social person, open to ideas of others.

    The Lab/Community Manager will be responsible for:
    Managing the lab space in the basement and the exhibition space at Natlab.
    Managing and maintaining the inventory.
    Assisting with setting up (artistic) projects and exhibitions.
    Developing a context for and with the (Baltan) community to create added value.
    Online and offline communication towards the Baltan community.
    Co-developing a plan together with the team to expand the community.
    Hospitality.


    PROFILE
    You are living in the Eindhoven region and are well acquainted with the regional and (inter)national creative and high-tech sector. You have experience working with creative people and know how to find your way in the social media landscape. You know how to reach and engage different target groups. You communicate fluently in both Dutch and English.

    You have at least a MBO+ degree. You are flexible, stress-resistant and accurate. In busy times you are able to set priorities. You are familiar with MS Office and acquired the basic digital skills. You are flexible when it comes to working hours and will occasionally work outside of office hours. As a team player, you also involve your direct colleagues when needed.
