- 27 March:
The City is Creative at flux-s
From September 10-13, 2009, the vast, bare concrete floors of the monumental Hoge Rug buildings and Veemgebouw (the old warehouse building), together with the impressive street of pipelines, the Natlab (the former physics laboratory) and the wasteland in between, constituted the setting and stage for an international selection of artists and performers during flux-s.
For the festival, artist Michelle Teran developed a new site-specific work The City is Creative in residence at BALTAN Laboratories, which was installed on the first floor of the Veemgebouw during flux-s. See all of the photos and videos from the project as well as more information about the infra-red flashlight interface developed by Mr. Stock Interfaces for the work.

And on a related note, Michelle’s project Buscando al Sr. Goodbar, a work she did earlier this year in Murcia, Spain has just been announced as one of the 9 nominees for the transmediale Award 2010 – congratulations Michelle!
