    Period: 6 Months

    Final Deadline: February 7, 2026

Explore in(ter)disciplinarity behind the fusion of art, design, and technology at Baltan Laboratories by engaging with our community in critical tech discussions through content creation.

Baltan Laboratories is a cultural indisciplinary lab based in Eindhoven. We focus on societal issues through a relational approach, creating spaces to rehearse living otherwise. We believe that the increasing complexity of our world and of the challenges we have to face no longer allow for a strictly disciplinary, reductionist and Western-based approach. In a world full of uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, the interactions and exchanges between different disciplines are fundamental to achieving a relational approach that responds to the environmental, political, social, economic and technological issues we must address today. We can no longer divide a problem into its parts, deal with those in separate disciplines and then recompose them in a solution. Furthermore, we can no longer afford to stand on the sidelines, offering lukewarm takes and palatable public programs to an audience that can no longer find the time to engage.

As the Communications Intern, you will work to establish a consistent and direct voice with which to share Baltan’s platform and the creative choices behind our programs, big and small. As a part of a new focus on thought-leadership and revolutionary thinking, Baltan, and by extension you, will work to extend the reach of our platform and team members beyond our offices and to a larger audience. Recognizing that we have an active international community, we hope to work with you to react thoughtfully to relevant topics with Baltan’s unique voice, in a way that isn’t dependent on long funding application periods or on restrictive anti-political guidelines. Now is the time for us to take a stand, make statements, and make noise! The internship will include all-around production and organizational tasks, however we aim to provide a platform, focus, and assigned tasks to you that you can focus on and manage yourself, with input and oversight as needed. Due to the focus on communication, we require a proficiency in written and verbal english-language communication and an active engagement with global events.
