Rewriting communication infrastructures into everyday forms of cooperation

What does it mean to communicate today: not just to send messages, but to build the systems that carry them?

REBOOT is an invitation to explore this question through a hybrid format that merges soft clubbing with workshops. Taking place at Blablalab in Eindhoven, the event unfolds as a layered experience where sound, material practice, and collective thinking coexist.

At its core, REBOOT proposes a shift: from communication as something we do, to communication as something we build.

Throughout the day, a continuous ambient DJ set and shared brunch create a social fabric — a soft clubbing environment that resists intensity in favor of openness. Within this space, participants can drift between different modes of engagement.

The morning begins with Spread the Bread, a workshop by Kiki Meiland. Here, communication is approached through the tactile and the everyday. By engraving bread, participants reflect on how messages are inscribed, shared, and consumed, reframing communication as something embodied and intimate.

In the afternoon, Luca Marini’s Reshaping Nodes / Building the Commons expands this inquiry outward. The focus shifts toward infrastructures: networks, cooperation, and the systems that enable collective exchange. Participants engage with how communication operates not only as expression, but as a distributed, shared architecture. For more info on Luca's series of workshop see here.

Together, these two moments form a deliberate arc, from the personal to the systemic, from gesture to network, from bread to commons.

REBOOT is not just an event, but a temporary environment for rethinking how we connect: materially, socially, and structurally.
