BALTAN Laboratories invites you to the launch of its 2009 program on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 16:00, Glaslaan 2, SWA-8, Eindhoven, the Netherlands. You are welcome to join us for a first look at BALTAN’s research program Poème Numérique, featuring presentations by artists Maurer United Architects (MUA), Geert Mul and Telcosystems, as well as for an introduction to BALTAN’s Blueprint program and the BALTAN Sessions. Special guest Floor van Spaendonck, director of Virtueel Platform, sector institute for e-culture, will open the proceedings.
BALTAN Laboratories initiates, supports and disseminates innovative research and development activities in the field of art, technology and culture. We actively pursue new collaborations between disciplines and act as a point of intersection for artists working with technology in Eindhoven and beyond. A new 2-year pilot initiative, BALTAN Laboratories is located in a space of almost 500m2 on the 8th floor of the SWA building in the Eindhoven hotspot Strijp S.

BALTAN Laboratories nodigt je uit voor de presentatie van het Programma 2009 op vrijdag 6 februari om 16:00 uur op de Glaslaan 2, SWA-8, Eindhoven. BALTAN geeft deze middag een introductie op het onderzoeksprogramma Poème Numérique, met presentaties van Maurer United Architects (MUA), Geert Mul en Telcosystems. Verder presenteren wij het BALTAN Blueprint programma en de BALTAN sessies. Het programma wordt geopend door speciale gast Floor van Spaendonck, directeur van Virtueel Platform, sectorinstituut voor e-cultuur.
BALTAN Laboratories initieert, ondersteunt en verspreidt innovatief onderzoek en vernieuwende activiteiten op het gebied van kunst, technologie en cultuur. Wij streven actief naar nieuwe samenwerkingsverbanden tussen disciplines en fungeren als kruispunt voor kunstenaars die werken met technologie in Eindhoven en daarbuiten. BALTAN Laboratories is een nieuw initiatief dat gedurende twee jaar als pilot fungeert en heeft zich gevestigd op 500m2 op de 8e verdieping van het SWA gebouw op Strijp S, dé broedplaats van Eindhoven.
