On Thursday, 12 November BALTAN Laboratories hosts the sixth in its series of BALTAN GOES NATLAB presentations at the former Philips NatLab at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. This session is dedicated to new experiments in architecture, specifically focused on the use of light and technology. Speakers include Jerome Decock from Brussels-based LAb[au], who will present some of their recent projects, including the interactive kinetic light sculpture framework f5×5×5; and Marc Maurer (Maurer United Architects [MUA]), who will discuss the Indemann, a 36-metre-high watchtower near Aachen, Germany, with a programmable facade consisting of 40.000 LED lights, designed by MUA.

This session takes place during the 4th edition of Glow - International Forum of Light in Art and Architecture in Eindhoven (November 6-15, 2009). (more…)
